According to a memo, FedEx Express is “significantly overstaffed” and don’t have enough demand to fill all pilots’ schedules. Accordingly, they’re encouraging them to take jobs at a regional passenger carrier.
In the memo, Pat DiMento, FedEx’ VP of Flight Operations and Training, urged pilots to consider PSA Airlines, a regional subsidiary of American Airlines. PSA is offering FedEx pilots an expedited interview process, a signing bonus of $250,000, and a clear path to fly for American.

2. UPS Unveils Hyperlocal Service
UPS has launched a new service, called Hyperlocal, which provides next-day delivery within metropolitan areas.
The service closely resembles a past offering, where UPS would pick up local volumes from a retail fulfillment center in the early morning, then take them to a UPS facility before the morning sorting process, to then be delivered that day.
CEO Carol Tomé has said the new service will help them earn “profitable B2B and B2C volume.”
