1. USPS Announces Tentative Rate Increases for 2024
The United States Postal Service has announced rate increases for 2024. The average increases include:
- USPS Ground Advantage: 5.4%
- Priority Mail: 5.7%
- Priority Mail Express: 5.9%
These prices were proposed to the Postal Regulatory Commission, who must review and approve them. If approved, the new increases will take effect Jan. 24, 2024.
2. Amazon Integrates Returns Platform with Fulfillment Service
Amazon has integrated ReturnGo, a returns management platform, within their Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) service. This allows third-party Amazon sellers to simplify and automate their reverse logistics operations.
ReturnGo embeds a return portal into sellers’ online stores, can connect to any carrier, and has a growing network of drop-off points.
Amazon isn’t the only fulfillment provider to enhance their reverse logistics offerings, as UPS recently acquired Happy Returns to give an improved returns service to retailers.

3. UPS Unveils Platform to Consolidate Standalone Tools
UPS recently unveiled a platform, called Supply Chain Symphony, that allows shippers to access previously siloed tools in one place.
Tools integrated into Supply Chain Symphony include Shipping Services, Global Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage, Supplier Management, and more.
“This unmatched connectivity allows UPS customers to easily see their inventory levels, predict potential problems, and make strategic decisions to improve their supply chain operations,” said Bill Seward, UPS Supply Chain Solutions president.
